Outside Recovery Associate (Illinois)
About The Position
The Outside Recovery Associate facilitates efficient management of projects in the outdoor merchandising area, with a primary focus on helping customers load purchases into their vehicles. The role also includes pricing and zoning outdoor merchandise, unloading delivery trucks, gathering shopping carts, responding to customer inquiries, and maintaining a clean, inviting exterior store presentation. The associate provides customer service, obtains load-out ticket signatures, performs safe load-outs, and maintains outdoor merchandise areas according to the Outdoor Merchandising Guide. The position uses standard office equipment and retail tools, participates in cross-training and learning initiatives, and provides friendly, professional support to customers and colleagues. Other duties may be assigned. There are no supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities
- Assist customers with loading purchases into their vehicles and provide exceptional customer service.
- Collect customer signatures on load-out tickets to confirm completed transactions.
- Perform safe load-outs from the store to customers’ vehicles.
- Maintain outside presentation according to the Outdoor Merchandising Guide.
- Price products accurately.
- Keep the parking lot, corral, and designated areas clean and well-maintained.
- Zone outdoor merchandising spaces, including load lanes, nurseries, bullpens, and front sidewalks.
- Use standard office equipment, including telephones, copiers, fax machines, calculators, and computers.
- Operate retail equipment such as Telxon guns, forklifts, pallet jacks, and ladders.
- Participate in cross-training for flexibility across departments and responsibilities.
- Participate in training programs, workshops, webinars, and other learning initiatives.
- Provide friendly, proactive, and professional support by promptly addressing inquiries, concerns, and issues.
