Outside Recovery Associate (Illinois)
About The Position
The Outside Recovery Associate supports efficient management of projects in the outdoor merchandising area, with a primary focus on helping customers load purchases into their vehicles. The role also includes pricing and zoning outdoor merchandise, unloading delivery trucks, gathering shopping carts, responding to customer inquiries, and maintaining a clean, welcoming exterior presentation of the store. The associate helps maintain outdoor merchandising areas in line with the Outdoor Merchandising Guide, supports safe and efficient customer load-outs, and contributes to a positive shopping experience. The role requires using office and retail equipment, participating in cross-training and learning initiatives, and providing professional support to customers and colleagues. There are no supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities
- Assist customers with loading purchases into their vehicles and provide exceptional customer service.
- Collect customer signatures on load-out tickets to confirm successful transactions.
- Perform load-outs from the store to customers’ vehicles, ensuring purchases are loaded safely.
- Follow the Outdoor Merchandising Guide to maintain consistent, orderly, shoppable outdoor displays.
- Ensure products are accurately priced.
- Keep the parking lot, cart corral, and designated areas clean and well-maintained.
- Zone outdoor merchandising areas, including load lanes, nurseries, bullpens, and front sidewalks.
- Use standard office equipment, including telephones, copiers, fax machines, calculators, and computers.
- Operate retail equipment such as a Telxon gun, forklift, pallet jack, and ladder.
- Participate in cross-training for flexibility across departments and responsibilities.
- Participate in training programs, workshops, webinars, and other learning initiatives.
- Provide friendly, proactive, and professional support to internal and external contacts, responding to inquiries and concerns promptly.
