Outside Recovery Associate (Illinois)
About The Position
The Outside Recovery Associate facilitates efficient management of projects in the outdoor merchandising area, with a primary focus on helping customers load purchases into their vehicles. The role also includes pricing and zoning outdoor merchandise, unloading delivery trucks, gathering shopping carts, responding to customer inquiries, and keeping the store’s exterior clean, orderly, and inviting. Associates follow the Outdoor Merchandising Guide and support a consistent, shoppable presentation of outside merchandise. The position requires customer service, use of retail and office equipment, cross-training, and participation in ongoing learning initiatives. No supervisory responsibilities are assigned.

Responsibilities
- Assist customers with loading purchases into their vehicles and provide exceptional customer service.
- Collect customer signatures on load-out tickets to confirm successful transactions.
- Perform load-outs safely and help create a seamless shopping experience.
- Follow the Outdoor Merchandising Guide to maintain consistent, shoppable outdoor displays.
- Ensure products are priced accurately.
- Keep the parking lot, cart corral, and designated areas clean and well-maintained.
- Zone outdoor merchandising areas, including load lanes, nurseries, bullpens, and front sidewalks.
- Use standard office equipment, including telephones, copiers, fax machines, calculators, and computers.
- Operate retail equipment such as Telxon guns, forklifts, pallet jacks, and ladders.
- Participate in cross-training to support flexibility across departments and responsibilities.
- Participate in training programs, workshops, webinars, and other learning initiatives.
- Provide friendly, proactive, and professional support to internal and external customers, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
