Outside Recovery Associate (Illinois)
About The Position
The Outside Recovery Associate facilitates projects in the outdoor merchandising area, with a primary focus on helping customers load purchases into their vehicles and providing a seamless shopping experience. The associate also prices and zones outdoor merchandise, unloads delivery trucks, gathers shopping carts, responds to customer inquiries, and keeps the store’s exterior clean and welcoming. The role includes using office and retail equipment, cross-training in other departments, participating in learning initiatives, and providing professional support to customers and coworkers. The associate is expected to demonstrate Rural King’s values. There are no supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities
- Assist customers with loading purchases into their vehicles and provide exceptional customer service.
- Collect customer signatures on load-out tickets to confirm successful transactions.
- Perform load-outs safely and contribute to a seamless shopping experience.
- Follow the Outdoor Merchandising Guide to maintain consistent, shoppable, and easily maintained outdoor displays.
- Ensure products are accurately priced.
- Keep the parking lot, corral, and designated areas clean and well-maintained.
- Zone outdoor merchandising areas, including load lanes, nurseries, bullpens, and front sidewalks.
- Use standard office equipment, including telephones, copiers, fax machines, calculators, and computers.
- Operate retail equipment such as a Telxon gun, forklift, pallet jack, ladder, and other tools.
- Participate in cross-training for flexibility across departments and responsibilities.
- Participate in training programs, workshops, webinars, and other learning initiatives.
- Provide friendly, proactive, and professional support to internal and external contacts, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively.
