About The Position

The Reconstruction Associate Sales Representative (ASR) works with the Reconstructive Sales Team in an assigned territory and hospital accounts. The ASR assists with scheduling operative cases, securing inventory, observing procedures, consulting surgical teams on Smith+Nephew instrumentation and implants, and completing related logistical requirements. The role requires learning and applying detailed technical information about surgery and procedures. Success involves becoming a technical expert in the Orthopedic Joint Reconstruction portfolio through structured training and assessments, building relationships with sales representatives, leadership, surgeons, Key Opinion Leaders, hospital staff, and coworkers, and collaborating on a territory business plan to generate revenue and meet or exceed quota. The ASR provides technical support to ensure product availability, works collaboratively with Reconstruction and Sports Medicine colleagues to identify sales opportunities, and supports customers and patients in the territory. The role involves travel within the designated sales territory, including 2–4 overnight stays per month, as well as infrequent national travel for events and conferences. Field sales professionals who enter healthcare facilities must complete the company credentialing process, which often includes COVID-19 vaccine management.
