About The Position
Hyundai of Union County is seeking a Reconditioning Manager / Internal Service Advisor to take full ownership of the used vehicle reconditioning process. The primary goal is to ensure vehicles are turned into frontline-ready, sellable units as quickly as possible, with a target of under 5 days from acquisition to frontline readiness. This role requires identifying and resolving bottlenecks in the reconditioning pipeline.
Requirements
- Dealership service or recon experience strongly preferred.
- Comfort with a DMS (CDK) and recon tracking tools.
- Ability to hold technicians, parts, and outside vendors accountable.
- A bias for ownership and proactive problem-solving.
- Driven, organized, and focused on eliminating bottlenecks.
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire recon pipeline from vehicle acquisition to being photo-ready and on the lot.
- Write and manage all internal and used car Repair Orders (ROs).
- Drive accountability across service, parts, and detail/vendors to ensure vehicles keep moving.
- Track turn time daily, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements.
- Coordinate sublet and vendor work to meet deadlines.
- Provide the General Manager with a clear, up-to-date status of every unit.
