About The Position

The Ōnin Group is seeking a Reconciliation Specialist for its Home Office in Birmingham, Alabama. The role supports billing accuracy by investigating discrepancies, resolving issues, and collaborating with internal teams. It also supports the Managed Services team with system updates, client account coordination, and operational processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, curious, organized, and enjoys problem solving.

Requirements

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and Excel.
Comfort learning new software and working across multiple systems.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Experience with data entry, administrative support, billing, or similar work.
MSP, VMS, or staffing industry experience.

Responsibilities

Review billing reports, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues involving bill rates, missing time, and inaccurate information.
Reconcile data between internal systems and client Vendor Management Systems (VMS).
Identify recurring errors and recommend improvements to prevent future issues.
Collaborate with Partnership Specialists and servicing branches to resolve billing and operational issues.
Assist with pay rate, bill rate, and hour corrections, data entry, and account maintenance.
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve accuracy.
Work across departments, learn new systems, and cross-train to support additional Partnership Specialist work and client payment allocations.
