Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Experience as a receptionist, medical secretary, or administrative assistant in a doctor's office AND/OR have strong customer service/patient care skills.
  • Comfortable with computers, technology, and Microsoft 365
  • Stand out for your organizational and collaborative skills as well as your ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and when you work as part of a team.
  • Interest in the medical field and have a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
  • Flexible work availability Monday through Friday (7:30 am - 4:30 pm), as well as Saturday (7:00 am - 3:30 pm) on a rotating basis and occasional Sunday mornings.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of EMR systems is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Warmly welcome patients and direct them to the waiting room, ensuring that new patients complete the questionnaire to add to their files.
  • Handle mail, clinic phone lines, and voicemails, and make sure to call patients to confirm their appointments.
  • Responsible for updating the medical records and appointments software after each patient's arrival and departure.
  • Manage inventory and ensure the aesthetics and cleanliness of the clinic when needed.
  • Support the organization’s Risk Management program by identifying and promptly reporting patient safety concerns, incidents, or potential risks to clinic management, to assist in the organization’s overall efforts to identify, report, and mitigate risks.
