About The Position

Honeoye Falls Veterinary Hospital is seeking a friendly, energetic, and compassionate Full-Time Veterinary Receptionist to join its front desk team. The hospital is a busy, three-doctor small animal practice that provides high-quality, evidence-based veterinary care in a supportive and empathetic environment, valuing open communication, mutual support, and a positive workplace culture where every voice is heard. As the first point of contact for clients and their pets, the receptionist helps deliver an exceptional client experience and ensures clients feel valued and supported when they arrive or call. The role includes greeting and checking in clients and patients, assisting with checkout, managing communications and requests, supporting the veterinary team, and maintaining an organized reception area. The position is full-time, and the hospital is currently closed on weekends.

Requirements

Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

Comfort working around animals of all sizes and temperaments.
Proficiency with computers and scheduling systems.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in a veterinary or medical office setting is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Warmly greet clients and patients, check them in for appointments, and assist with checkout.
Answer incoming calls, handle inquiries, take detailed messages, and process requests for prescription or food refills.
Monitor and respond to emails, texts, and other communication platforms used by the hospital.
Assist veterinarians and support staff as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area.
Prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on multitasking and detail.
