Receiving Manager
About The Position
The Receiving Manager is responsible for operating and maintaining all incoming shipments of materials delivered to the Innovative Health receiving warehouse. The role owns inbound receipts, production order fulfillment, location management, inventory accuracy, cycle counting, and removal of expired or obsolete inventory. The manager trains and supervises the receiving team to ensure warehouse standards for storing raw materials are applied consistently and accurately. The position collaborates with Supply Chain, QA/QC, Manufacturing, R&D, and Finance to implement processes and manage changes related to the receiving warehouse. It oversees the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, maintains warehouse safety and audit readiness, and ensures inventory is accurately managed and issued to production and R&D.
Requirements
- Train and supervise the receiving team.
- Maintain forklift certification for all receiving team members.
- Follow environmental and safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, and applicable U.S. laws.
Responsibilities
- Lead all receiving warehouse functions.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, QA/QC, Manufacturing, R&D, and Finance to implement new processes and manage receiving warehouse changes.
- Control manual or automated tasks involved in receiving, storing, and distributing materials from the receiving warehouse to the production floor.
- Meet performance goals for turnaround time on incoming materials.
- Maintain warehouse standards in compliance with safety guidelines and OSHA regulations and keep the warehouse audit ready.
- Store inbound products accurately in designated physical locations corresponding to JDEdwards (ERP System) locations.
- Maintain physical inventory accuracy through weekly cycle counts, research root causes of discrepancies, and report inventory shrink to appropriate departments.
- Manage preparation and execution of the yearly inventory count.
- Coordinate incoming deliveries with LTL/shipping and communicate with Purchasing and Shipping when damaged product or freight claims require attention.
- Oversee issuing raw materials to production and R&D within agreed turnaround times and in accordance with work instructions.
- Coordinate with accounts payable to ensure supplier invoices have supporting documentation.
- Communicate inventory or supply concerns to Supply Chain teammates.
- Work with Innovative Health team members to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Follow environmental and safety regulations and comply with U.S. laws.
- Maintain forklift certification for all receiving team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
