About The Position

Red White & Blue Thrift is seeking a hardworking, dedicated Supply Chain Associate to support operations by loading, unloading, organizing, and lifting donations, including clothing, furniture, and miscellaneous household items. The role also assists with donation pick-ups and efficiently filling trailers to maximize storage. It requires teamwork, stamina, adaptability, and the ability to work at a steady pace in a fast-paced environment and in various weather conditions.

The work environment is consistently busy and noisy, with bright lighting throughout the front and back of the store. The position involves regular interactions with customers, donors, and coworkers and requires flexibility to switch tasks and work in assigned areas as operational needs dictate. Employees need a fundamental understanding of written and spoken English to understand instructions, read road signs, and communicate when interacting with people who primarily use English.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment and maintain a steady pace throughout shifts.
• Team-oriented attitude and strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Reliability and ability to take direction from supervisors and team leaders.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and carry it short distances.
• Physical ability to move heavy objects and spend extended periods standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
• Visual acuity to read road signs, maps, and operating instructions.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling bags and boxes.
• Strong back and abdominal muscles to maintain proper posture while lifting heavy objects.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow.
• Good hearing to detect warning signals and communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
• Fundamental understanding of written and spoken English to comprehend instructions, read street signs, and communicate verbally and in writing when needed.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and organize donations, including clothing, furniture, and household items.
• Fill trailers with donations, stacking and securing items to maximize space and efficiency.
• Assist drivers on donation-pickup routes by loading and securing items.
• Organize inventory by categorizing items and placing them in designated areas.
• Support thrift store operations by responding promptly to demands and requests.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient and productive work processes.
• Follow direction and complete tasks accurately to support team goals.
• Work in various weather conditions as needed for loading and unloading.
• Switch tasks and work in assigned areas based on operational needs.
