Receiving and Materials Handling
About The Position
Advanced Digital Cable is seeking a detail-oriented Receiving and Materials Handler to manage incoming supplies and ensure materials reach the production team. The position supports the quality process and keeps manufacturing operations moving in a fast-paced environment. The company manufactures wire and cable at four U.S. locations and uses advanced manufacturing technology and equipment. The role is based at ADC Hayesville in Hayesville, North Carolina. It is a first-shift position, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., paying $22.00 per hour. The work involves using warehouse equipment and working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, machinery, and varying temperatures.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse, receiving, or material-handling role within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Strong basic math skills for weighing materials and reconciling packing slips.
- Ability to maintain legible and accurate documentation.
- Basic proficiency in data entry and inventory management software.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods.
- Comfort working around noise, dust, machinery, and varying temperatures.
- High level of accuracy when verifying part numbers, quantities, and the physical condition of goods.

Responsibilities
- Verify, inspect, and process incoming shipments.
- Move materials, including reels and compounds, to the production floor.
- Use tracking systems to record inventory and accurately manage returns of unused materials.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to organize the warehouse safely.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
- Work with production and office teams to resolve delivery issues and maintain workflow.
- Follow safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout and use of personal protective equipment.
