About The Position

As a Receiver at Murray’s Cheese, you will receive, organize, and manage inventory for the retail store. You will ensure product quality, maintain accurate records, and assist with inventory control to support smooth and efficient operations. The role requires strong organizational skills, basic math capabilities, and the ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving products. This is a seasonal, full-time position estimated to begin in mid-October 2026 and end by mid-January 2027. The role is based at the Grand Central store and requires flexible availability for weekends, holidays, and opening, closing, and mid-day shifts.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of receiving or inventory management experience.
Basic math skills for invoice adjustments and product tracking.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks, including bending, lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
Full-time, flexible availability for weekends, holidays, and opening, closing, and mid-day shifts.

Responsibilities

Receive and inspect incoming products for accuracy in quantity, quality, condition, and order specifications.
Enter product transfers in and out using NetSuite and maintain accurate inventory records.
Store products at the correct temperatures and follow First In, First Out (FIFO) or Last In, Last Out (LILO) standards.
Communicate with vendors, retail teams, and management by phone and email to resolve product discrepancies and support smooth operations.
Monitor product quality, including expiration dates and case conditions, and initiate credit requests when necessary.
Participate in stock rotations and assist with inventory management, monthly counts, and product organization.
Process invoices and adjust invoice totals using basic math.
Assist with stocking and organizing the store’s back area to ensure efficient storage and easy access to products.
Perform other duties as required to support the team and store operations.
