About The Position

The Warehouse Receiver is responsible for the timely and accurate receipt of products and their placement in designated warehouse areas. The role includes unloading deliveries, breaking down and inspecting goods, and verifying that the items and quantities match the purchase order. The position is seasonal, with the season running through the end of December, and pays $18.10 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

The work environment is colder than room temperature because products are highly perishable. The receiving dock may also be cold when doors are open for deliveries, and noise may be above normal because of the HVAC system. The role involves frequent walking, standing, lifting, pulling, pushing, squatting, and reaching, with lifting up to 110 pounds.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift, reach truck, walkie rider, and other equipment used in the receiving department.
• Good written and oral communication skills in English.
• Good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Review the day’s expected deliveries on the dock schedule.
• Compare invoices and purchase orders before unloading trucks.
• Unload and break down incoming products; inspect them for compliance with COOL laws, damage, and accurate quantities against the purchase order.
• Complete the purchase order and return it to the receiving office.
• Complete the manifest based on products received or loaded and return it to the receiving office.
• Keep work areas clean and clear of obstructions.
• Complete other projects as needed.
• Greet customers warmly and help ensure they feel welcome and appreciated.
• Collaborate with team members and offer assistance where needed.
• Help improve and maintain store efficiency.
• Represent the store and its S.T.E.W. values in interactions with customers and team members.
