About The Position

The Warehouse Receiver is responsible for timely and accurate receipt of products and placement in designated warehouse areas. The role unloads and breaks down incoming deliveries, reviews the contents, and confirms items and quantities against purchase orders. The position is seasonal, pays $18.10 per hour, requires workers to be at least 18 years old, and runs through the end of December.

The receiving department is colder than room temperature because products are highly perishable. The receiving dock may also be colder than room temperature when doors are frequently open for deliveries. Noise may be above normal due to the HVAC system. The role involves frequent walking, standing, lifting, pulling, pushing, squatting, and reaching, with a maximum lifting demand of 110 pounds.

Team members are expected to provide friendly service, collaborate with colleagues, support efficient store operations, and represent the company’s S.T.E.W. values. Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift, reach truck, walkie rider, and other equipment used in the receiving department.
• Good written and oral communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Review the dock schedule for expected daily deliveries.
• Review invoices and purchase orders before unloading trucks to confirm they match.
• Unload and break down incoming products; inspect them for compliance with COOL laws, damage, and quantity accuracy against the purchase order.
• Complete the purchase order and return it to the receiving office.
• Complete the manifest based on items received or loaded and return it to the receiving office.
• Keep work areas clean and clear of obstructions.
• Complete other projects as needed.
• Greet customers with a friendly smile and positive attitude.
• Collaborate with team members and offer assistance and support where needed.
• Help improve and maintain store efficiency.
• Represent the store’s S.T.E.W. values in interactions with customers and team members.
