About The Position

The State Highway Administration's (SHA) Office of Real Estate (ORE) (Kent County) is currently recruiting for a Real Property Supervisor position. This position is open to anyone who meets the minimum qualifications listed below. The resulting list of eligible candidates will be used to fill this vacancy and may be used to fill future vacancies in this classification. The main purpose of this position is to directly assist the Real Property Manager of the District 2 Real Estate Office with all responsibilities related to acquisition activities. This includes directly supervising all staff Real Property Specialists and/or Real Property Consultants as they perform acquisition activities for the Office of Real Estate. This includes but is not limited to purchasing property for public use (road widening, bridge construction, environmental mitigation, noise wall construction, and other State needs). This position is subject to statewide work assignments, and in addition to supervising Real Property Specialists and/or Real Property Consultants, manages projects on a full-time permanent basis.

Requirements

  • Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Seven (7) years of experience providing acquisition, relocation assistance, or property/asset management services, including one (1) year as a project manager, or lead worker or one (1) year of appraisal review experience.
  • Possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the state of Maryland.
  • Employees must be willing and available for duty at such hours, day or night, as may be required in order to respond to agency operations.
