About The Position
Redfin is hiring a Real Estate Associate Agent in Salem. This role is intended for new or experienced real estate agents who want flexibility and the opportunity to earn money in real estate without closing transactions. Associate Agents work with customers on a self-directed schedule and are paid a flat rate for each field event as independent contractors. The work may include showing homes, hosting open houses, and attending inspections. Agents work remotely in the field, with no office visits required, and may have many customers, particularly on weekends. The role involves no sales pressure, contracts, or closings. Redfin offers free, optional educational services to help agents develop their skills. Applicants submit an application and may be invited to a video screen if they meet minimum qualifications. A recruiter will provide next steps if there is an opening in the applicant’s area; if not, Redfin may retain the applicant’s information and contact them when new contract opportunities arise. Redfin conducts background screening for the role consistent with applicable law and considers qualified applicants with criminal record histories.
Requirements
- Hold a real estate license in the state where the agent will work.
- Be willing to affiliate the real estate license exclusively with Redfin.
- Have a smartphone, laptop, and GPS, or be willing to obtain them.
- Be willing to join the local MLS and Realtor Association.
- Have reliable transportation and the ability to travel within the market.
