About The Position
Redfin’s Associate Agent role is for real estate agents who want to work with customers on a flexible schedule and earn money in real estate without closing transactions. The role involves field events such as showing homes, hosting open houses, and attending inspections. Agents set their own hours and control their workload, with customers especially available on weekends. The role has no sales pressure, contracts, or closings, and work is performed remotely in the field without office visits. Optional educational services are available at no cost. As an independent contractor, the agent receives a flat-rate payment for each field event. Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications may be invited to a video screen; a recruiter will provide next steps if there is an opening in the area. If no opening is available, Redfin may retain their information and contact them about future contract opportunities. Redfin conducts background screening for this role in accordance with applicable law and considers qualified applicants with criminal record histories.
Requirements
- Hold a real estate license in the state where the work will be performed.
- Be willing to affiliate the real estate license exclusively with Redfin.
- Have a smartphone, laptop, and GPS, or be willing to obtain them.
- Be willing to join the local MLS and Realtor Association.
- Have reliable transportation and be able to travel within the market.
