About The Position

Ramp Agents process baggage between airport baggage areas and aircraft and assist with receiving and dispatching aircraft. The role involves operating motorized equipment, handling baggage, helping passengers and special-needs customers, and following SkyWest and FAA regulations. The position requires outdoor work in all weather conditions, a flexible schedule that may include split shifts, weekends, and holidays, and attendance at four days of Basic Station Training. Part-time and full-time positions may be available. Pay is $14.50 per hour. This is not a Department of Transportation safety-sensitive position.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Possess a valid, unrestricted, state-issued driver’s license.
Have a high school diploma or GED.
Obtain and maintain position-specific clearances, including FAA, TSA, Port Authority, and U.S. Customs clearances.
Pass a pre-placement background check and drug screen.
Be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
Be able to lift bags weighing over 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Be able to work outside in all weather conditions.
Attend four days of Basic Station Training.
Have a flexible schedule, including split shifts that may occur during early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Load and unload aircraft and carts.
Stack and unstack baggage in aircraft.
Complete safety checklists for motorized equipment.
Drive and operate motorized equipment, such as conveyor belts.
Read and interpret load sheets and checked baggage tags.
Escort passengers and special-needs customers safely and courteously.
Ensure compliance with SkyWest and Federal Aviation Administration regulations and policies.
