About The Position

The Ramp Agent unloads and loads luggage, freight, and cargo on and off commercial aircraft, working in the outbound bag room and baggage claim area. The role includes driving and operating small specialized commercial vehicles and carrying out baggage sortation and headset duties. It requires heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, stretching, and frequent kneeling. The Ramp Agent follows established procedures and protocols to perform work safely and maintains a safe and secure workplace in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must possess and maintain a valid US driver's license.
• Must be able to proficiently read, write, and speak English.
• Must be comfortable lifting 70 pounds repetitively.
• Must pass an FBI background check and obtain a US Customs Seal.
• Must have a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Manually or mechanically load and unload baggage in accordance with relevant training.
• Gather, enter, and process operational data and documentation using manual, automated, or computerized systems, including weather reporting.
• Perform baggage sortation duties safely and efficiently.
• Carry out area hazard checks.
• Perform headset duties, including communicating with the flight deck, in accordance with relevant training.
• Take reasonable care of their own and others’ health, safety, and wellbeing, following provided information, training, and workplace rules or procedures.
• Drive and operate small specialized commercial vehicles.
