About The Position

As a Ramp Agent, you follow safety and security instructions based on internal and external regulations, including airline and regulatory requirements. The role involves loading, unloading, and transporting passengers’ bags to and from aircraft, operating ground equipment, and providing water and lavatory services. The position requires full-time availability, a flexible schedule, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Work takes place outdoors in all types of weather and around jet machinery noise.

Requirements

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Flexible work schedule and availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Eligible to obtain the necessary credentials and clearances.
Possess and maintain a valid California driver’s license and other FAA- or airport-required identification, seals, or authorizations.
Physically able to stand, lift, bend, stoop, walk, crawl, push, and pull for extended periods.
Regularly push, pull, lift, and load up to 70 pounds (32 kg).

Responsibilities

Follow all internal and external safety and security instructions, including airline regulations.
Wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Follow federal, state, airport, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
Build good relationships with customers and airport authorities.
Report irregularities and take appropriate action.
Build and maintain good management/workforce relations.
Ensure the workforce adheres to company policies and procedures.
Load, unload, and transport passengers’ bags to and from aircraft using bag carts, dollies, and conveyor belts.
Drive and/or operate ground equipment, including tow tractors, tow bars, belt loaders, container loaders, and baggage tugs.
Provide water and lavatory services.
Perform other duties as assigned.
