About The Position

Baptist Health is hiring a PRN Radiology Technologist for its Diagnostic Imaging Department at Baptist South in Jacksonville, Florida. The technologist prepares imaging rooms, positions patients, performs radiographic procedures, and operates imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images that support clinical decisions. The role involves collaboration with nurses and physicians and providing patients with safe, accurate, and compassionate care. The technologist should be comfortable working with pediatric patients and maintain a positive, comforting demeanor with patients and good working relationships with coworkers and other departments.

Requirements

Vocational school education.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
One of the listed credentials is required: Licensed Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) - DOH; Registered Technologist in Cardiac-Interventional Radiography, ARRT (CI); or Registered Radiologic Technologist, ARRT.
Comfort with pediatric patients.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience preferred.
Radiology or imaging experience preferred.
Experience working in a hospital setting preferred.
Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) - CCI, Cardiovascular preferred.

Report to the Lead Technologist on shift.
Comply with mandatory education and health requirements.
Identify, prepare, administer, and document medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner and in accordance with applicable state and federal regulations or lawful institutional policy.
Prepare imaging rooms and position patients to capture clear diagnostic images.
Collaborate with nurses and physicians and operate imaging equipment to provide safe, accurate, and compassionate care.
