Radiology Technician Limited - Certified Medical Assistant
About The Position
The Radiology Technician Limited-Certified Medical Assistant performs radiographic examinations and provides patient care within the limited scope defined by the State Department of Health Professions. The role safely obtains diagnostic X-ray images, prepares patients for procedures, and ensures proper positioning, equipment use, and radiation safety while supporting clinical evaluation by the provider. Radiology examinations are limited to the scope of practice outlined in State Department of Health Professions regulations for Limited Radiologic Technologists. The role also supports patient care and performs administrative and clinical tasks as delegated by and under the direction or supervision of a Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Requirements
- Medical Assisting certification (required).
- Limited Radiologic Technician licensure, if required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic examinations within the limited scope defined by applicable State Department of Health Professions regulations.
- Safely obtain diagnostic X-ray images.
- Prepare patients for procedures.
- Ensure proper patient positioning, equipment use, and radiation safety.
- Support clinical evaluation by the provider.
- Provide patient care and perform administrative and clinical tasks as a Certified Medical Assistant, as delegated and under the direction or supervision of a Physician, NP/PA, RN, or LPN.
