About The Position

This is a travel position for an Interventional Radiology Technologist in Los Angeles, California. The role involves performing and assisting with cardiac and vascular radiographic examinations during interventional procedures. The technologist will operate specialized equipment to acquire digital images, position patients, and assist physicians with complex procedures. Additionally, the role includes mentoring staff, participating in quality improvement, and supporting training.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • ARRT certification
  • Active Radiologic Technologist (RT) license/registration in California
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR from an approved vendor.
  • At least two years of recent radiology/IR or special procedures experience; background in interventional radiology preferred.
  • Fluoroscopy (FLUORO) certification
  • Ability to meet department-specific requirements such as PVMB/TEAM or CPI
  • Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) compliance.
  • Ability to work in a home healthcare – hospice setting
  • Able to work night shifts and participate in after-hours call as needed
  • Current credentialing and eligibility for travel assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform, assist, and complete Cardiac and Vascular radiographic examinations during interventional procedures.
  • Operate interventional radiology equipment to acquire digital images of the heart and vascular system as directed by physicians.
  • Position and immobilize patients, prepare and instruct them for examinations, and perform specialized studies with a focus on patient safety and image quality.
  • Assist physicians with complex interventional procedures in the cardiovascular suite, including use of specialized equipment.
  • Mentor staff on technical skills, participate in quality improvement activities, and support ongoing training and competency validation for team members.
