About The Position

This is a travel Interventional Radiology Tech assignment in Los Angeles, California, starting on 09/14/2026 for 13 weeks. The role involves performing and supporting cardiac and vascular radiographic procedures in the interventional suite, with opportunities to mentor staff and contribute to equipment operations and image quality. The setting is home healthcare - hospice.

Requirements

  • Active ARRT certification in Radiography (RT) and current state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist (California preferred).
  • Minimum of two years of recent interventional radiology experience.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) acceptable per policy.
  • Fluoroscopy (FLUORO) certification; facility-specific licensing and safety requirements (HLFS) compliance.
  • Prevention and Management of Violent Behavior (PVMB) or Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or equivalent (CPI) as required.
  • Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree in radiologic technology or related field preferred.
  • Current nursing license per the state of assignment (as applicable per job notes); ability to work in a home healthcare - hospice setting.
  • Ability to work a variable schedule and the on-call expectations discussed during the interview process.

Responsibilities

  • Operate diagnostic imaging equipment to acquire contrast-enhanced radiographs of the heart and cardiovascular system during interventional procedures.
  • Assist physicians with specialized cardiovascular interventions, including vascular access, catheterization, and device placements.
  • Position and immobilize patients, apply shielding, and maintain sterile technique; ensure high-quality, diagnostic images while prioritizing patient safety.
  • Monitor patient status during procedures, manage contrast administration as ordered, and support contrast-related safety protocols.
  • Support clinical operations by mentoring staff on radiologic techniques and participating in team training and staff development as appropriate.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, image management, and adherence to safety, infection control, and department policies.
