About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Radiology Tech specializing in CT scans, located in Machias, Maine. The assignment is for 13 weeks, with a start date of 09/22/2026. The role involves performing CT imaging procedures in a hospital setting, requiring the technologist to operate multi-slice CT scanners, position patients, select appropriate protocols, and administer contrast media. The position requires adherence to radiation safety guidelines and accurate documentation of procedures. The technologist will also be responsible for communicating procedures to patients and ensuring their comfort and privacy.

Requirements

Current ARRT certification in Radiography and active State of Maine radiologic technologist license
BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
Minimum 1 year of CT imaging experience
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
Covid-19 vaccination on file
Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and operate multiple hospital computer systems

Responsibilities

Perform CT imaging procedures across various body regions using multi-slice CT scanners, following physician orders.
Position patients, select protocols, and ensure high-quality, diagnostic images.
Administer contrast media as ordered; monitor patients for adverse reactions and document responses.
Operate CT equipment safely, adhering to radiation safety guidelines and protecting patient and staff from unnecessary exposure.
Verify patient identity, transfer images to the PACS, and maintain accurate procedure documentation.
Communicate procedures clearly to patients, maintain patient privacy, and assist with patient comfort during scanning.
