About The Position

The Radiology Services Coordinator supports radiology services by handling order entry, communication and guest relations, medical record maintenance and analysis, and patient transport, lifting, and positioning. The role also includes non-technical and clerical duties. The coordinator demonstrates competency in operating radiologic systems to manage and transfer digital images to complex media and convert film images to digital formats. The position is based at the Advanced Imaging Center at Sentara Greenbrier HealthPlex in Chesapeake, Virginia, and works rotating evenings.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
No experience is required.
Demonstrated competency in operating radiologic systems for digital image management and transfer, and converting film images to digital formats.

Nice To Haves

Medical Assistant or Medical Administrative Assistant experience; a minimum of 3 years in a medical environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Process radiology orders through order entry.
Communicate with patients and others and support guest relations.
