Requirements

ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy or eligible for certification
Graduation from an accredited Radiation Therapy program (degree)
Ability to perform patient positioning, immobilization, treatment delivery, and accurate documentation
Willingness to travel and participate in a 13-week travel assignment
Ability to work effectively in a hospital-based setting in The Dalles, OR

Responsibilities

Administer ionizing irradiation to patients in accordance with prescriptions and instructions from department physicians.
Position and immobilize patients as required for treatment delivery; verify dose and field settings per protocol.
Monitor patients during treatment and respond to any immediate issues or adverse events following department procedures.
Document treatment delivery, patient responses, and any deviations in the medical record; communicate with the radiation oncology team.
Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety standards, quality assurance procedures, and infection control policies.
