About The Position
Performs diagnostic imaging services in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures to ensure the best possible patient care. Reviews radiology exam requests and patient identification, completes exams in a timely manner and according to quality and compliance standards, and follows prescribed screening and safety procedures for patients, staff, and self. Additional duties may be assigned. The position is with Diagnostic Radiology at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital. The schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. A $10,000 sign-on incentive is available to full-time candidates only.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved discipline-specific program.
- Licensure as an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registrant.
- Less than one year of experience is indicated as the experience level.
- Fundamental awareness of diagnostic equipment, compliance, and patient documentation.
Responsibilities
- Review radiology exam requests and patient identification to support safe, appropriate, and cost-effective imaging.
- Use a broad range of skills to complete exams in a timely manner and meet quality and compliance standards.
- Perform appropriate screening of patients, staff, and self according to prescribed safety standards.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
