About The Position
Performs all MRI procedures in accordance with established department policies and procedures to ensure the best possible patient care services. Reviews radiology exam requests and patient identification, completes exams in a timely manner while meeting quality and compliance standards, and follows prescribed MRI screening and safety processes for patients, staff, and self. Assists with orientation and training of new staff; additional duties may be assigned. The position is with Vanderbilt Health’s MRI organization at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital. The schedule is Tuesday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered for eligible full-time hires; current Vanderbilt Medical Center staff and former staff who worked there within the past 12 months are ineligible. Industry-competitive rates and shift differentials are available. The role requires graduation from an approved discipline-specific program, relevant work experience, and ARRT licensure.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved discipline-specific program.
- One year of relevant work experience.
- Licensure: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Responsibilities
- Review radiology exam requests and patient identification to ensure safe, appropriate, and cost-effective imaging.
- Apply a broad range of skills to complete examinations timely and meet quality and compliance standards.
- Perform appropriate MRI screening for patients, staff, and self according to prescribed safety standards.
- Assist in orienting and training new staff.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
