About The Position

Performs MRI procedures in accordance with established department policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care. The role reviews imaging requests and patient identification, completes exams safely and efficiently, follows MRI screening standards, and supports the orientation and training of new staff. Additional duties may be assigned. The position is with Vanderbilt Health's MRI organization at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital. The schedule is Tuesday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered for eligible full-time hires; current Vanderbilt Medical Center staff and former staff who worked there within the past 12 months are ineligible. Industry-competitive rates and shift differentials are available.

Requirements

Graduate of an approved discipline-specific program.
Relevant work experience; the listed experience level is 1 year.
Licensure or certification: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and other licensure as applicable.

Responsibilities

Review radiology exam requests and patient identification to ensure safe, appropriate, and cost-effective imaging.
Use a broad range of skills to complete exams promptly and meet quality and compliance standards.
Perform appropriate MRI screening for patients, staff, and self according to prescribed safety standards.
Assist with orientation and training of new staff.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
