About The Position
Performs diagnostic imaging services in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures to support the delivery of high-quality patient care. The role is with Diagnostic Radiology at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital. The schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available to full-time candidates only. The position reviews imaging requests and patient identification, completes exams to quality and compliance standards, and follows prescribed safety screening procedures. The role requires subject matter knowledge in a professional area and involves contributing individually to work teams, with some guidance. Relevant work experience is listed as less than one year, and the education requirement is graduation from an approved discipline-specific program.
Requirements
- Licensure/certification: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and other licensure as applicable.
- Relevant work experience; experience level listed as less than one year.
- Graduate of an approved discipline-specific program.
- Demonstrate fundamental awareness of diagnostic equipment, compliance requirements, and patient documentation.
Responsibilities
- Review radiology exam requests and patient identification to ensure safe, appropriate, and cost-effective imaging.
- Use a broad range of skills to complete exams promptly and meet quality and compliance standards.
- Screen patients, staff, and self according to prescribed safety standards.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
