About The Position

The Quality Supervisor is responsible for managing quality inspectors and leads, overseeing direct examination of products to ensure quality standards, procedures, legislation, applicable code, and customer specifications are met. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and technical expertise, ensuring strict adherence to the organization's quality assurance policies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years related quality supervisory experience
  • Post-secondary education related to quality management
  • Ability to work independently in a busy environment
  • Experience with routine maintenance operations.
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
  • Computer literacy - Microsoft Office, web browser, email, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Support and direct Quality Inspectors and Leads.
  • Identify and ensure NCR reports are followed up for remediation, including contacting and engaging internal purchasers and external suppliers.
  • Train, coach, manage the performance of, and schedule assigned staff.
  • Oversee inspections, reporting, documentation, and troubleshooting.
  • Perform internal QA audits that are compliant with corporate policies, practices, and procedures, in conjunction with the QC Manager.
  • Support and report all data information to management.
  • Assist with the maintenance of QA monitoring programs, including audits, controls, and other qualifiers.
  • Support new product development and continuous improvement and integrating quality control tools (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) into processes.
  • Promote and advocate quality achievement and performance improvement across the organization.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with local, national, and international standards, codes, and legislation.
  • Adopt and incorporate quality methods into their work.
  • Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects and oversee and/or implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniques.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.
  • Other duties as required.
