About The Position

Fanatics Collectibles is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor to compile and communicate information from quality audits to Quality Managers and manufacturing teams. This role reports directly to the Sr. Quality Manager and is based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, requiring in-person attendance. The supervisor will oversee either the 1st or 2nd shift, with a minimum 40-hour work week and a lunch break not exceeding one hour without prior approval. The position requires the ability to work extended hours, including overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays as production demands. The QC Supervisor is responsible for auditing production Work-In-Progress (WIP) to ensure it meets Critical to Quality (CTQ) requirements and interfaces with internal product development teams and the manufacturing network.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 5+ Years of Work Experience in an equivalent or supervisory role, preferably in highly configurable, high mix/low volume product manufacturing, consumer-packaged goods, and/or contract manufacturing.
  • Proven ability to work cross functionally with production.
  • Experience with conducting quality process audits and addressing quality issues in a timely manner.
  • Extensive experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Proven track record of meeting quality targets with regards to on time delivery, utilization, efficiency and scrap, while maintaining world class Quality.
  • Significant experience in a supervisory role within a busy manufacturing setting.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with other departments, such as engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards and regulatory compliance a plus.
  • Proficiency in data and analytics.
  • Strong collaboration skills.
  • Very strong attention to detail.
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, complex, highly configurable manufacturing environment.
  • Compliance with all safety protocols and regulations regarding PPE usage (including safety glasses, gloves, ear protection, etc.).
  • Ability to remain alert and focused during long shifts and high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

  • Compile and communicate information from quality audits.
  • Audit production WIP to ensure it meets CTQ requirements.
  • Track status and coordinate physical samples of all components, WIP, and verify sign-offs.
  • Responsible for the delivery and archive of Product/Component Binders for each Fanatics Collectibles product produced.
  • Coordinate, track, and deliver finished sheets to the NY office.
  • Provide routine status/reports on all components regarding quality performance and QC status.
  • Attend product walkthroughs and BOM reviews, evaluate risks to timing, and potential quality alerts.
  • Liaise with the project management team to ensure manufacturing and finishing processes are on-schedule.
  • Manage on-site and in-process quality assurance checks for all WIP and finished goods across the supply chain.
  • Work with operators, supervisors, and line leads to meet high-quality standards.
  • Collaborate with other leaders to create and implement processes.
  • Educate production operators, line leads, and supervisors on the importance of key quality attributes.
  • Bring awareness to manufacturing teams for key initiatives/components in product by working cross-functionally with the Brand Team.
  • Assist and contribute to production training materials and implementation.
  • Support the building of QC reporting & analytics.
  • Collaborate with Topps and Fanatics Collectibles teams to understand supply chain challenges and develop plans to address issues with suppliers.
  • Contribute to process re-engineering through participation and feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company standards for responsible department.
  • Document any incidents, accidents, or quality issues.
  • Support the development of KPI reporting & analytics (scrap, efficiency, equipment & headcount utilization, etc.).
  • Ensure all necessary materials and supplies are available for the binder project.
  • Maintain open and constant communication about all department matters with the direct manager.
