About The Position

The Quality Control Technician performs routine analytical and physical tests to ensure finished products and packaging meet PepsiCo standards. The role works closely with production and conducts product testing, raw-material inspection, finished-goods inspection, sanitation inspection, and finished-goods or packaging holds. The position is scheduled for second shift, 2:30 p.m.–11:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with rotating weekend coverage every third weekend from 12:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• At least one year of experience with documentation, written procedures/SOPs, and recordkeeping.
• At least one year of experience performing calculations, measurements, and unit conversions.
• At least one year of experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• One to two years of experience in food manufacturing or a related manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production lines for quality issues.
• Complete analytical testing on finished products using various scientific methods.
• Perform audits and inspections to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
• Collect and plate routine microbiological samples from ingredients, water, and equipment surfaces.
• Review production paperwork for compliance.
• Perform routine laboratory equipment calibration and maintenance.
• Manage non-conforming finished products and incoming materials.
• Create new SOPs and train frontline and salaried staff on them.
• Conduct quality-related training with frontline associates.
• Participate in Lean Six Sigma and TPM initiatives.
• Support new product innovation projects.
• Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs.
