Quality Control Technician - 2nd Shift

About The Position

The Quality Control Technician is a subject matter expert in analyzing product and process quality and supports the Operations team with complaint investigations, corrective actions, risk management, and problem solving. The role maintains knowledge of products and processes to support day-to-day operations and continuous improvement activities. This safety-sensitive position is based in an industrial manufacturing plant.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Associate degree and/or two years of relevant experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to work eight hours per day, with overtime and weekends as needed and shifts of up to 12 hours per day when production volume requires.
Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment with extreme temperatures and possible outdoor exposure.
Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to use tools, equipment, and machinery.
High level of interpersonal skills, organization, and recordkeeping.
Good to excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills.
Good telephone and oral communication skills.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Passion for problem solving.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree.
Knowledge of ISO 9001/14001/45001/37301, FM, UL, and AC473.

Responsibilities

Understand product drawings for inspection purposes.
Interpret and use precision measurement equipment.
Provide inspection support across receiving, the panel line, trim, and final inspection.
Prepare worksheets to support production.
Contribute to the Material Review Board.
Recommend measures to prevent recurrence of defects.
Support the Operations team as required.
Analyze data to identify improvements and trends.
Maintain the calibration program.
Support continuous improvement projects.
Use the standard non-conformance process.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
