About The Position

Darigold is seeking an experienced and motivated Quality Assurance Supervisor for its Boise Production Plant. The supervisor administers corporate quality and food safety policies and procedures in conjunction with the Quality Assurance Manager, through the performance, supervision, monitoring, and development of quality systems and processes. The schedule is Monday through Wednesday, 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, and Thursday, 6:00 PM to 12:30 AM.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Dairy or Food Quality Assurance; preference is given to candidates with a B.S. degree in Food Science, Dairy Science, Microbiology, or an associated discipline.
• Experience in food plant sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality- and food-safety-related testing and maintain the associated documentation and records.
• Review Appendix N documentation and reporting daily.
• Review laboratory quality data daily to ensure products meet specifications.
• Conduct daily product evaluations with plant management and operators to ensure consistent quality.
• Review processing and quality data collected by operators daily.
• Track, tend, and report key quality measures.
• Complete and maintain the vitamin fortification program and records.
• Maintain the environmental swabbing program, and track and report results.
• Maintain and review certificates of analysis from ingredient vendors.
• Ensure proper laboratory procedures are followed as outlined by Darigold’s Corporate Quality Department.
• Participate in the plant HACCP program.
• Maintain the plant Allergen Control Program.
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints.
• Review third-party audits, respond to findings, and assist as needed during audits.
• Troubleshoot plant quality issues and work on special projects.
• Conduct plant quality and food safety training.
• Conduct regular plant self-audits.
• Assist with regulatory compliance.
• Assist the QA Manager with managing plant quality programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
