As a QA Manager within PNC's C&IB organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Lakewood, CO or Dallas, TX Job Summary The Quality Engineering (QE) Manager is responsible for defining, leading, and continuously improving the quality strategy across the software development lifecycle (SDLC). This role is part of software engineering and partners closely with the product and business stakeholders to integrate quality early and ensure reliable, scalable, and high-quality software releases. The QE Manager promotes best practices in both manual and automated testing, actively participates in sprint and release cycles, and ensures that quality risks are identified and addressed proactively. The ideal candidate brings strong testing expertise, hands-on automation experience, and the ability to lead and influence teams to deliver high-quality outcomes aligned with business and technical goals. Job Description Manages the development and implementation of plans for inspecting, testing, and evaluating software product functions and features. Oversee and develop product QA and test plans for each phase of the development cycle. Plans all resources and schedules for functional and performance QA work. Oversees the selection of the QA and testing tool-kit. Supports the overall QA strategy for the team. Tracks, reports-on, and works towards improvement of quality assurance metrics, tools, and processes. Oversees performance of individual team members and team as a whole. Identifies and addresses staff training and development needs.
