About The Position

The QSR Food Rep supports food merchandising, food preparation and service, customer satisfaction, facility cleanliness and administrative operations at a Circle K store. The role ensures deliveries and inventory are accurate, merchandise is stocked and displayed attractively, food is fresh, and food preparation areas and equipment are clean and sanitary. The representative provides courteous customer service, prepares and serves food and beverages, and helps train new associates when needed. The position is full-time, with evening availability on weekdays and weekends required. Work is approximately 95% indoors, with some outdoor duties such as cleaning parking lots and gas pumps and taking out garbage. The employee works with minimum direction and periodic supervision, and may be required to work irregular hours for job-related meetings. The hiring range is $11.00 to $12.00.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to work as scheduled and arrive on time.
Ability to communicate information and ideas so others understand.
Ability to perform the essential duties and physical functions of the job and work in the described conditions.
Ability to work evenings on weekdays and have weekend availability.
Ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift; grasp, reach, and manipulate objects throughout the shift; and perform tasks requiring bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead and up to 50 pounds from ground to waist.
Ability to push or pull with the arms using up to 20 pounds of force.
Ability to work alone and communicate orally.
Ability to operate a cash register and/or computer keyboard.
Ability to work in cold or warm temperature extremes, including occasional work in a walk-in cooler or freezer and outdoors.
Ability to tolerate occasional noise and climb a ladder when needed to store or retrieve materials or place or remove signs.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience in retail sales preferred.
Ability to perform the four basic arithmetic operations—addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division—preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure grocery deliveries are accurate, stocked, attractively displayed, and priced correctly in accordance with company guidelines.
Complete build-to’s for ordering and purchasing merchandise.
Check in deliveries, price items, and stock merchandise according to the schematic.
Verify delivery invoices, review discrepancies with the Store Manager, and provide outdated merchandise to the Store Manager for review.
Assemble, date, and price-mark in-store displays.
Rotate food items and monitor quality and freshness to protect customers from illness.
Monitor and maintain food preparation areas and display cases.
Assist with training new associates, emphasizing excellent customer service, when necessary.
Monitor and organize inventory to reduce out-of-stock items.
Provide prompt, courteous, friendly, and attentive customer service.
Greet customers as they enter the area and thank them as they leave.
Resolve or help resolve routine customer concerns within established guidelines.
Report to work on time and follow the dress and appearance code.
Prepare and serve quality food and beverages to meet customer needs.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following procedures, rules, and regulations.
Sweep and mop or otherwise clean floors; dust or wash windows, counters, displays, store areas, and bathrooms; and remove trash, litter, and debris.
Inspect store facilities and equipment for safety, cleanliness, and proper working order.
Clean, sanitize, and maintain food service equipment.
Attend job-related meetings, which may require working irregular hours.
Maintain intradepartmental workflow and foster cooperation.
Comply with company policies and procedures and contribute to team efforts by completing related tasks.
Perform duties with minimal supervision and perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
