About The Position

Prepares and cooks menu items for sale and serves guests in a manner that ensures a favorable dining experience. Provides food service that meets SOP standards for ingredient quantity, quality, safety, and consistency, and prepares menu items according to standardized recipes. The role also includes operating kitchen equipment, maintaining clean and sanitary work and dining areas, serving guests, and processing payments.

Requirements

Ability to acquire and maintain Food Handler’s Certification.
Ability to follow standardized recipes.
Accuracy and speed in accomplishing assigned tasks.
Ability to handle cash responsibly.
Ability to calculate basic math functions related to POS cash and credit transactions, cash reconciliation, and product inventory.
Ability to work well independently and cooperatively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Provide food service that meets SOP standards for ingredient quantity, quality, safety, and consistency; maintain knowledge of product offerings and ensure food is prepared correctly and promptly.
Prepare menu items by mixing and measuring ingredients according to recipes, using kitchen tools, utensils, and equipment.
Operate kitchen equipment including ovens, broilers, grills, roasters, and steam kettles.
Clean and sanitize work areas and food preparation equipment; wash and dry dishes and cooking utensils according to standards.
Greet customers pleasantly and serve meals using Guest Service Standards.
Comply with food safety programs and practices, including hand washing, sanitation, food handling and storage, and time and temperature controls.
Operate a cash register, receive meal payments, issue change, and provide a receipt or ticket.
Keep the dining room, lobby, service areas, and floors clean, stocked, and visually appealing.
Restock dining room tables, service stations, and condiment stations according to established standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
