About The Position

Prepares and cooks menu items for sale and serves guests in a manner that ensures a favorable dining experience. The position reports to the F&B General Manager/F&B Manager. The cook follows standardized recipes and food safety procedures, operates kitchen equipment and a cash register, and maintains clean, stocked, and appealing dining and service areas.

Requirements

Ability to acquire and maintain Food Handler’s Certification.
Ability to follow standardized recipes.
Accuracy and speed in accomplishing assigned tasks.
Ability to handle cash responsibly.
Ability to calculate basic math functions related to POS cash and credit transactions, cash reconciliation, and product inventory.
Ability to work well independently and cooperatively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Provide food service that meets SOP standards for ingredient quantity, quality, safety, and consistency.
Maintain knowledge of all product offerings and ensure food is prepared correctly and promptly.
Prepare menu items according to recipes, measuring and mixing ingredients with kitchen tools, utensils, and equipment.
Operate kitchen equipment, including ovens, broilers, grills, roasters, and steam kettles.
Clean and sanitize work areas and food preparation equipment; wash and dry dishes and cooking utensils according to standards.
Greet customers pleasantly and serve meals according to Guest Service Standards.
Follow food safety practices, including handwashing, sanitation, safe food handling and storage, and time and temperature controls.
Operate a cash register, accept meal payments, issue change, and provide receipts or tickets.
Keep the dining room, lobby, and service areas clean, stocked, and visually appealing; keep floors free of debris.
Restock dining room tables, service stations, and condiment stations according to established standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
