About The Position

Duro-Last Roofing, a brand of Amrize Building Envelope and a manufacturer of prefabricated commercial roofing systems, is hiring a QA Tech Rep I (Roofing Inspector) in the Austin, Texas area. This is a full-time, year-round, salary-based position. The company provides a vehicle, cell phone, tablet, and expense account. The role involves inspecting commercial roofing installations, supporting contractors and sales representatives, and traveling extensively throughout the region. It is physically challenging and involves bending, lifting, pulling, and climbing.

Requirements

Two to four years of experience in commercial low-slope roofing, construction, roof inspection, or quality assurance is highly desirable.
Strong motivation, organizational, time-management, documentation, and oral and written communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask and prioritize.
Punctual, dependable, and trustworthy work ethic.
Ability to complete responsibilities and operate equipment in accordance with company production, personnel, and safety procedures.
Ability to read and comprehend roofing specifications.
Ability to communicate and handle conflict professionally.
Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
Computer literacy.
Ability to pass a physical agility test, drug screen, and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

Physically inspect roof installations for quality and workmanship.
Issue roof warranties in accordance with Duro-Last specifications.
Make repairs to Duro-Last roofs.
Conduct on-site training classes and guide contractors in proper roof installation.
Support Duro-Last contractors and sales representatives in the territory.
Schedule inspections and repairs and prepare warranty reports.
Perform other duties as assigned.
