About the position
Virtru is seeking a highly skilled and naturally curious engineer with experience in SharePoint, software deployment, and managing lab environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining internal lab environments, defining acceptance criteria for new capabilities, executing end-to-end test cases, and contributing to documentation development. They should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, experience as a Deployment Engineer or Quality Engineer, proficiency in SharePoint administration, and strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also required.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain internal lab environments, including setting up test environments, replicating customer issues, and troubleshooting.
- Partner with product and engineering to define acceptance criteria for the development of new capabilities.
- Define, maintain, and execute end-to-end test cases that ensure the product capabilities delivered to market meet the acceptance criteria as defined by product.
- Create high-quality defect tickets for engineering, complete with environmental details and comprehensive steps to reproduce.
- Contribute to the development of documentation, including installation guides, best practices, and troubleshooting guides.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Experience as a Deployment Engineer or Quality Engineer.
- Proficiency in SharePoint administration, including configuration, customization, and integration.
- Experience deploying software applications in enterprise environments.
- Experience with end-to-end test case automation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose technical issues.
- Must have experience in the Microsoft ecosystem - Windows Server, SharePoint, Active Directory, SQL Server, and Exchange Server.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
