About The Position

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a service-oriented Public Area Attendant for The Starling Hotel. The role maintains hotel public areas to quality standards, ensuring they are clean, neat, orderly, and welcoming for guests. Duties also include delivering requested items to guest rooms and assisting with guest-room cleaning as needed.

Requirements

Minimum of a high school education.
Minimum of one year in a housekeeping role.
Outgoing personality.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally.
Team player.
Ability to exceed guest expectations.
Customer-service focus.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain hotel public areas, including restrooms, hallways, and stairwells, to quality standards.
Clean bathrooms; dust furniture and pictures; vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
Empty carts of soiled linen and dispose of trash.
Communicate efficiently over a two-way radio so tasks can be prioritized.
Keep the lobby, elevators, stairways, hallways, and Front Desk area clean, neat, and free of rubbish and debris.
Maintain public restrooms in a neat and orderly condition and check them once an hour.
Remove spots, insects, and debris; polish fixtures and clean ashtrays.
Deliver items to rooms upon request and assist with cleaning guest rooms as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
