About The Position

The Public Area Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of public areas and front- and back-of-house areas according to casino standards. Duties must be performed in accordance with Seneca Gaming Corporation policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards, and objectives. The role involves cleaning and stocking assigned casino areas, working with cleaning agents, and providing patrons with pleasant, professional customer service. The position operates within a 24-hour schedule, and duties and expectations may change as needed.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old upon employment.
Must be familiar with the proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
Must possess excellent communication skills.
Must be able to write routine correspondence and speak effectively to the public, employees, and customers.
Must be able to interact effectively with customers and employees.
Must be able to resolve problems and conflicts diplomatically and tactfully.
Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino.
Must be able to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must maintain physical stamina and a proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced casino environment and deal effectively with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or its equivalency preferred.
Previous customer service experience preferred.
Previous housekeeping experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Maintain the cleanliness of in-house facilities and assigned casino areas.
Empty and provide clean ashtrays throughout the casino on a regular basis.
Clean, wash, and disinfect bathroom floors, sinks, and commodes, and routinely inspect bathrooms for cleanliness.
Wipe and clean gaming devices regularly.
Discard soiled cups and similar items throughout the casino regularly.
Attend to the cleaning and stocking needs of assigned casino areas.
Use various cleaning agents and cleaning equipment appropriately.
Understand and comply with information security policies and procedures, including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy.
Provide exceptional customer service and communicate pleasantly, professionally, and in a friendly manner.
Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers, and staff.
Meet attendance guidelines and follow regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
Complete required SGC training programs within nine months of employment commencement.
Attend necessary meetings.
