About The Position
Provides therapeutic services for the Sexual and Gender Health clinic. Conducts multi-axial diagnostic assessment, determines clinical interventions, facilitates therapy and provides education for patients and their families. Facilitates treatment planning and manages each case. Responsible for development of transition/discharge plan. Communicates effectively and respectfully with others, including interdisciplinary team and all other contacts. Functions as an interdisciplinary team member.
Requirements
- Master of Social Work and/or Psychology
- For outpatient units, De-escalation and Self-Defense training and retraining
- Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Psychologist or Licensed Prof Clinical Counsel or Licensed Marriage and Fam Therapy
- Experience with sex and gender therapy
Nice To Haves
- 2 years supervised therapy experience in mental health including assessment, individual, group and family therapy
