About The Position

Harmony United Psychiatric Care is hiring a Psychotherapist Intern for its outpatient clinic in Brandon, Florida. The clinic provides in-person and virtual mental health services, including evaluations, medication management, psychotherapy and counseling, and neuropsychological testing for adults, adolescents, and children aged five and above. The intern will provide assessments, diagnoses, and therapeutic interventions, and collaborate with other mental health and healthcare professionals. This is an independent contractor position. Contractors determine their working hours. Offices are open Monday through Thursday for in-person and telehealth appointments, with telemedicine availability Friday through Sunday. There is also an option to work 50% via telemedicine from the beginning of employment. Compensation is $35–$40 per billable hour. Requirements

Master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
Active Florida Intern license or be in the process of obtaining one.

Responsibilities

Provide psychological assessments, diagnoses, and therapeutic interventions for patients with a variety of mental health conditions.
Provide different modalities of psychotherapy and counseling services.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families about mental health conditions and therapeutic strategies.
Document services rendered in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Stay current with advancements in psychotherapy and counseling through continuing education and professional development.
