Psychotherapist Intern Outpatient Clinic– CSW / MHC / MFT/ Independent Contractor/Port Orange
About The Position
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is a network of outpatient mental health clinics in Florida that provides in-person and virtual services through a secure telehealth platform. Services include psychiatric and psychological evaluations, medication management, psychotherapy and counseling, and neuropsychological testing. The organization serves adults, adolescents, and children aged five and above. The Psychotherapist Intern provides outpatient mental health care, including psychological assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions for patients with a range of mental health conditions. The role involves providing psychotherapy and counseling, collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team, educating patients and families, and documenting services in accordance with company policies and procedures. The intern is expected to keep current with developments in psychotherapy and counseling through continuing education and professional development. This independent-contractor role offers a choice of working hours. Offices are open Monday through Thursday for in-person and telehealth appointments, with telemedicine availability Friday through Sunday. There is also an option to work 50% via telemedicine from the beginning of employment. Compensation is $35–$40 per billable hour.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- Active Florida intern license or be in the process of obtaining one.

Responsibilities
- Provide psychological assessments, diagnoses, and therapeutic interventions for patients with a variety of mental health conditions.
- Provide different modalities of psychotherapy and counseling services.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
- Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families about mental health conditions and therapeutic strategies.
- Document services rendered in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Stay current with advancements in psychotherapy and counseling through continuing education and professional development.
