About The Position
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is part of Harmony United Healthcare LLC, a network of outpatient mental health clinics providing in-person and virtual services through a secure telehealth platform. Services include psychiatric and psychological evaluations, medication management, psychotherapy and counseling, and neuropsychological testing. The organization’s clinicians care for adults, adolescents, and children aged five and above, with individualized treatment delivered compassionately and respectfully. The Psychotherapist Intern provides outpatient mental health services, including assessments, diagnosis, therapeutic interventions, psychotherapy, and counseling. The role collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, educates patients and families, and documents services in accordance with company policies. The position is an independent contractor role with flexible hours determined by the contractor. Offices are open Monday through Thursday for in-person and telehealth appointments, and telemedicine work is available Friday through Sunday. The role may be performed 50% via telemedicine from the beginning of employment.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- Active Florida Intern license or be in the process of obtaining one.

Responsibilities
- Provide psychological assessments, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions for patients with a variety of mental health conditions.
- Provide different modalities of psychotherapy and counseling services.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
- Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families about mental health conditions and therapeutic strategies.
- Document services rendered in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Stay current with advancements in psychotherapy and counseling through continuing education and professional development.
