Psychotherapist Intern Outpatient Clinic– CSW / MHC / MFT/ Independent Contractor/Port Orange
About The Position
Harmony United Psychiatric Care, part of Harmony United Healthcare LLC, is a network of outpatient mental health clinics providing in-person and virtual care in Florida. Services include psychiatric and psychological evaluations, medication management, psychotherapy and counseling, and neuropsychological testing. The clinic serves adults, adolescents, and children aged five and above, with individualized, compassionate care. The Psychotherapist Intern provides outpatient psychotherapy and counseling services, including psychological assessments, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions for patients with a variety of mental health conditions. The role collaborates with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, provides psychoeducation to patients and families, documents services in accordance with company policies and procedures, and maintains professional knowledge through continuing education and development. This independent contractor role is based in Port Orange, Florida. Contractors choose their working hours. Offices are open Monday through Thursday for in-person and telehealth appointments, with telemedicine availability Friday through Sunday. The position offers the option to work 50% by telemedicine from the beginning of employment. Compensation is $35–$40 per billable hour.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- Active Florida Intern license or be in the process of obtaining one.

Responsibilities
- Provide psychological assessments, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions for patients with a variety of mental health conditions.
- Provide different modalities of psychotherapy and counseling services.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
- Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families about mental health conditions and therapeutic strategies.
- Document services rendered in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Stay current with advancements in psychotherapy and counseling through continuing education and professional development.
